Mérida has a very active live-music and dance scene in its historic center. Here are our recommendations for a night out dancing.
Where to Dance Salsa in Mérida
La Negrita
A restaurant-bar with live music; on Fridays a Cuban son group plays, perfect for dancing after dinner.
Mercado 60
Every day has a different musical theme, but salsa night is Friday starting at 8:30 pm, with a wide variety of food, drinks, and desserts.
El Pipiripau
A restaurant-bar with live music Thursday through Sunday starting at 8 pm — another local classic.
Near the historic center
All three spots are in Mérida’s historic center, a short taxi ride from Casa Muliix — a good option for a night of dancing without complicating your transportation.
